PASS
Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are hour-long group study sessions led by an upper-year student and offer a collaborative environment for extra practice and revision where no grades are taken. Each session will cover material from the previous week in a manner that focuses on course concepts and study skills. Session attendance is anonymous to the instructor, so it’s a great opportunity to meet classmates, study challenging material, and practice what you’ve learned!
Digital Media Lab
The Digital Media Lab (CLC 221) is equipped with four dual-screen Apple Mac workstations with access to premiere video, photo, and audio editing software. It also offers a soundproof recording room, a high-quality scanner, and a video-capture station.
The lab is currently physically open with the following services:
(1) Office hours (starting the week of January 19th, 2026) where you can meet with a student coach for help with any digital media projects.
(2) Various digital media workshops (starting in January 2026) where students can learn how to use various software.
Finance Lab
Located just outside the Canaccord Learning Commons in room HA238, the Wayne Deans Investment Analysis Centre (WDIAC) offers Sauder students and faculty access to industry databases and financial analysis systems.
The lab is currently physically open with the following services:
(1) Office hours (starting the week of January 19th, 2026) where you can meet with a student coach for help with any Financial Database projects.
(2) Various Bloomberg, Python, and other Financial Analytics workshops (starting in January 2026) where students can learn how to use various software.
Professional Communication Coaching
Professional Communication Skills Workshops: Earn a certificate after completing all 10 workshops in this series! *They can be done in any order, throughout your enrollment*
COMM 196 Coaching: Peer coaches will listen to your presentation, look over slides, and discuss content.
Math & Econ Coaching
One-on-one appointments and course review sessions with our coaches can help with improving your comprehension of difficult concepts presented in: MATH 100, MATH 101, ECON 101, ECON 102.
Attendees should come to appointments with questions regarding what they need assistance with. There are also Exam Review sessions offered on for applicable classes.
Writing Coaching
One-on-one writing appointments with our Writing Coach can help with planning, idea development, tone, stylistic improvement, and error recognition. Any genre of writing is suitable; however, this is not an editing service and attendees are expected to participate actively in the conversation.
Attendees must bring a printed copy of their work to review during their appointment. Possible writing samples include a draft of an academic assignment, a cover letter, a professional email, etc.
